Smith Island Crabbing Boat
The Smith Island Crabbing Boat is actually known as a crab scraping boat. This boat usually about 30' in length is used to pull scrapes across the shallow rivers and harvest soft crabs or peelers. The shallow draft of this boat allows the waterman to work in water less than 2' deep.
